Turkey Trot!

At one of the many Turkey Trots held yesterday, Athenas Danielle Gall, April Henning, and Mary Vonckx ran the Prospect Park 5 mile Turkey Trot.  Mary was the second place woman in 31:28 and took home one of the coveted top three finishers’ pie.  No word yet on the type of pie or rating of its deliciousness.  April and Danielle were sixth and ninth overall, finishing out of pie contention but received a festive, turkey-laden finishers’ medal and turkey buff nonetheless.

    I can report that the prize pie was a four-and-a-half pound apple lattice and was delicious! Happy Thanksgiving to all – I am very thankful for my wonderful teammates, coach, and training partners!
